Dr. Waugaman is the creator of Empathic Audiology™, an innovative approach that goes beyond a traditional patient model. Empathic Audiology™ is designed to bring both human and economic value to hearing care elevating patient outcomes through trust, connection, and emotional understanding, while also supporting the sustainability, well-being, and professional value of the provider. It is not simply a clinical model, but a philosophy intended to create lasting change across the patient experience, practice culture, and the broader healthcare system.
The greatest joy in Dr. Waugaman’s life is giving to others. She values the freedom to donate both hearing devices and her time to individuals who would not otherwise have the opportunity to hear, believing that access to hearing care should be rooted in compassion, dignity, and purpose.
